In order to begin to narrow down the possibilities a bit, we recommend that you start with the following basic principles :
Are you looking for a boys', co-educational or girls' school?
In what area of the country should the school be located?
What type of school are you looking for: religious or secular?
Is there a particular sport you would like your child to play?
How long do you want your child to board?
During our meeting, we'll show you the list of schools and we'll be able to filter them based on your answers to the previous questions.
Some schools accept students for a term, but others require a minimum of one year. This will also depend on extracurricular activities.
In the United Kingdom, private schools hold extracurricular activities and sports (called after-school clubs) right on-site. Students don't have to travel anywhere. Children participate in a wide range of sports and other activities, including music and art.
Depending on your child's interests and hobbies, it will be easier to choose one school or another, as some have a reputation based on their clubs. For example, if you want horseback riding, some schools offer it, or if you want a swimming pool, others do.
In addition, each school has a main sports activity for girls and another for boys.
